Dream States

✂ braids, twee, DIY, feminism & gender discourse, books, letterforms, dreamy babes, outer space, too many black & white images

Today marks a year since the day I left Sweden, quietly; there was no one to say goodbye and it was still dark when I trekked to Korsvägen to catch the bus to the airport with far too many bags. Maybe I’ll finally stop moping publicly on the internet about it now.
Brood X will be carrying the last ten copies of my zine, Jag saknar dig, about it as soon as I have a chance to mail them. This is the only time they’ve been available for sale, and I won’t be making more.

Riding trains between malmö, stockholm and göteborg or taking buses out to the little city airport always allowed for the most enticing and fleeting views of birch forests.
I’m trying to go back to Sweden in the summer after graduation. It seems unlikely due to $$$, but if I can I’d like to spend some time in the forests instead of passing by them.

Orion is sleeping over for a few days.
Another non-Thanksgiving
Yesterday was a wave of wishing I was in Sweden again. I miss walking home on cold nights from having a fika alone. Walking home in Baltimore rarely feels good and the moments that made me stop and stare at buildings and trees looking strange in the night or rabbits rooting in the snow are rare here. I miss my desk in the studio with only an x-acto knife, a box of peppermint tea and a bag of candy from 7-11 in the top drawer.

Seeing Melancholia at the Charles. I don’t understand why it came out weeks later here than the rest of the country.
